About Us
The Guest House at IIT Palakkad, located just 1 km away from the campus with the scenic Western Ghats as its backdrop, offers a tranquil retreat for visitors. These guest houses, featuring a contemporary aesthetic, offer top-of-the-line amenities and ensure a comfortable stay for visitors. A total of 16 rooms are distributed across four blocks – Block A, B, C, and D – providing ample accommodation.

The Guest House caters to the accommodation needs of the institute's guests, employees' guests, alumni, and, upon request, parents of students. Each unit is equipped with air-conditioned bedrooms, an attached toilet with a geyser, and a hall and kitchen. Moreover, all rooms are serviced by an emergency generator set, ensuring uninterrupted comfort.

The Guest House also offers additional shared facilities for guests' convenience. These include a meeting room that can accommodate 50 people for gatherings or conferences, and a separate room equipped for gymnastics and other physical exercises.
The property is managed by the Guest House Manager and their dedicated team. The allotment of guest house units is subject to room availability.

 

 

 

Reservation & Allotment Policy

  • For booking facilities in Guest House & its Catering Services, an email request has to be given to the Guest House Manager at ghm@iitpkd.ac.in with a copy to the Registrar’s Office at ro@iitpkd.ac.in.
  • Cancellation of bookings, if any, should be informed at the earliest to the Guest House Manager through mail at ghm@iitpkd.ac.in.
  • Allotment of Guest House units will be subject to approval by the Competent Authority.
  • The booking is purely provisional and subject to availability.
  • No telephonic bookings will be entertained.
  • Confirmation of allotment will be informed through e-mail by the Guest House Manager.
  • Guests should confirm their time of arrival at the Guest House through email.
  • Guests are requested to fill up the register in the Guest House Office during Check-in and Check-out.
  • Check-in/ Check-out Time: 09.00 am.
  • Rooms will be allocated as per availability, requirement, and priority of guests.
  • Guests who are paying should settle their bills through cashless mode with the Guest House Office before checking out.
  • Guests are requested to deposit the keys at the Guest House Office while checking out.
  • Pet animals are not allowed in the Guest House Units.
