Title: DASH-aware Scheduling In Cellular Networks
Abstract:
Until recently, schedulers in cellular networks were designed for traditional single-rate video streaming and elastic data flows. While these schedulers incorporated sophisticated radio resource management techniques, they lack the mechanism to handle adaptive video streams, which behave quiet differently from the traditional video streams. In this talk, I will present the approach we took to design a scheduler for cellular networks that takes into consideration the dynamics of adaptive video streams.
