IIT Palakkad partners with IIT Madras to enhance Academic and Research opportunities for BS Students.

The Memorandum of Understanding between the Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad(IITPKD) and the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) marks a strategic partnership aimed at enriching the academic and research experience for students pursuing Bachelor of Science (BS) programs under the aegis of the Centre for Outreach and Digital Education(CODE) at IIT Madras. This MoU outlines various avenues for student engagement, focusing on skill development, research exposure, and academic exchange. 

The scope of collaboration includes research Internships that enable IITM BS students to join IIT Palakkad’s prestigious summer research internship programs under the guidance of its distinguished faculty members. It also features semester exchange programs under which IITM BS students will have the opportunity to spend a semester at IIT Palakkad as part-time visiting students. Additionally, IIT Palakkad and IIT Madras will jointly create a tailored immersive summer program and faculty-guided internship opportunities allowing IITM BS  to work on live projects under the mentorship of IIT Palakkad faculty. IIT Palakkad will curate possible project positions, and eligible students can apply for these roles.
