Research
My research work since joining IIT Palakkad have been on processing high strength-to-weight ratio alloys such as Aluminium & Titanium, and heat resisting alloys such as Ni-based Superalloys (IN718, Haynes, etc.,) through additive manufacturing (AM) technique and studying its structure-property correlations by systematic experiments and analysis.
In addition to my primary research activities that focus on AM, I am also interested in studying the Rolling Contact Fatigue (RCF) behavior of wind turbine/aerospace grade bearing steels under formulated lubrication conditions.
Research Interests: Engineering Materials, Tribology, Surface Engineering, Materials Testing and Characterization, Failure Analysis.
