Abstract

Children and youth have been significantly underserved and relatively invisible  in  global health policies,  despite the reality that the majority of global child populations reside in the LMC regions. In view of current  realities and stressors  including the impact of cybertechnologies, economic disparities, climate change, substance abuse, ideological tensions and family adversities,  youth resilience promotion remains  integral to addressing prevention and to supporting their mental health concerns. The discussion will share some thoughts on accessibility to appropriate care, stigma, cultural safety and structural impediments that remain challenging in considering youth well being. Local and heterogeneous social realities are also relevant in the varied ecopsychosocial context  relevant to supporting vulnerable young people.
